Senior Manager – Cost Accounting (Remote, must reside in NC, SC, KY, IN, FL, GA, or TX)

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Manager of Cost Accounting for a leading organization. In this role, you will lead a team of accounting professionals, oversee inventory and cost reporting, and partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial results. What You’ll Actually Do as the Senior Manager – Cost Accounting:

• Lead a team of 4–5 professionals, plus additional offshore support staff, to deliver accurate cost and inventory accounting.
• Oversee journal entries, reserves, transfer pricing, and reporting to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, tax compliance, and corporate reporting.
• Partner with FP&A, Supply Chain, Tax, and other business units to resolve accounting matters.
• Drive system initiatives, including ERP and process automation projects, ensuring design, documentation, testing, and training are completed successfully.

What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Senior Manager – Cost Accounting:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of finance or technical accounting experience (advanced degrees may reduce years of experience required).
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams, projects, or resources.
• Expertise in cost accounting, including inventory and transfer pricing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards.
• Proficiency with SAP (S/4HANA experience strongly preferred).

It’s a Bonus if You’ve Used:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA.
• Big 4 public accounting or audit experience.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing industries.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
