Schedule: Full-Time
Pay: $90,000-$105,000 base salary + 10% bonus
Location: Phoenix preferred; open to Southern California, Dallas, or New York (travel to Phoenix ~1x every two months if not local)

Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Accountant to support a fast-growing professional services organization. This corporate-level role reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for executing the monthly close process, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting financial reporting efforts. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, multi-entity environments and is excited to grow within a private equity-backed team.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes using close checklist software
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain/reconcile general ledger accounts
- Lead balance sheet account reconciliations and optimize close processes
- Prepare and reconcile complex payroll journal entries (bonuses, benefits, commissions, taxes) across multiple entities
- Assist with integration of acquired businesses, including onboarding and mapping balance sheets
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain debt roll-forward schedules and record principal/interest payments
- Prepare and reconcile interest expense entries and support lender compliance
- Collaborate with payroll providers and tax consultants to ensure accurate filings
- Maintain data integrity in the ERP system (Sage Intacct)
- Assist in preparing GAAP-compliant financial reports
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to requests
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for accounting processes
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve workflows
- Provide general accounting support across all entities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 4-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting (Top 10 firm preferred)
- Experience in multi-entity, people-based organizations (e.g., professional services or healthcare)
- Strong GAAP knowledge and hands-on experience with month-end close
- Skilled in payroll accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and audit readiness
- Familiar with ERP systems like Sage Intacct and post-acquisition integration
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors for payroll and tax compliance
- Strong attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
