Quality Engineer

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a leading company in the technology repair and refurbishment industry seeking a skilled Spanish bilingual Quality Engineer to oversee quality systems and drive process improvements in their electronics manufacturing facility. This position offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives, mentor and build a team, and ensure compliance with industry standards while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Denton, TX
Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday (occasional travel for audits, customer meetings, or training)
Pay Range: $70,000–$80,000 BOE
Duration: Full-time, permanent
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 standards and applicable regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure quality policies and procedures remain current and effective.
- Supervise and mentor quality team members, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Partner with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and maintain compliance with quality requirements.
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize operations and improve product yields.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or management within the technology repair or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 standards (required).
- Experience with additional certifications such as ISO 14001, TL 9000, ISO 45001, or WISE (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, Lean Six Sigma).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
