CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Quality Engineer for a medical device manufacturing partner in the Savannah area. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System while supporting product design, production, and compliance activities. What You’ll Actually Do as the Quality Engineer:

• Lead and support quality initiatives including CAPA, nonconformance investigations, and process improvements.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, validation projects, and root cause analysis to strengthen overall product performance.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, audit records, and regulatory submissions.
• Provide technical input to improve production quality, product reliability, and compliance readiness.

What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Quality Engineer:

• 7+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment—medical device experience strongly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems, including CAPA, complaint handling, and internal audits.
• Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and EU MDR requirements.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

It’s a Bonus if You’ve Used:

• MDSAP compliance frameworks or audit programs.
• Lean or Six Sigma tools for process improvement.
