What You’ll Actually Do as the Preconstruction Manager:

• Lead all preconstruction activities including estimating, design coordination, trade contractor procurement, and scheduling.
• Mentor and develop preconstruction staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Partner with architects, consultants, and trade contractors to align design and construction phases.
• Monitor budgets, assess risks, and manage cost and scope adjustments.
• Prepare and deliver conceptual estimates, detailed proposals, and GMP packages to support project goals.

What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Preconstruction Manager:

• 5–10 years of experience in preconstruction for commercial, healthcare, or higher education projects (not residential or multi-family)
• Proven success working with CMAR and design-build project delivery methods.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Tucson, AZ commercial construction market.

It’s a Bonus if You’ve Used:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading owner/architect/contractor meetings throughout preconstruction phases.
• Advanced knowledge of cost databases and estimating systems.
