COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $85–$110 per instructional session taught, based on experience and certifications
• Monday–Friday; flexible based on instructor availability
• Typical class length: 1.5 hours; approximately 3 hours per instructional session including preparation and classroom responsibilities
• 1099 Independent Contractor
• Start: August 2026
ROLE IMPACT
Help prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals by delivering engaging classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on phlebotomy training using the provided curriculum
• Prepare students for nationally recognized certifications and entry-level healthcare careers
• Maintain required classroom documentation and support a positive learning environment
• Mentor students by sharing practical industry knowledge and professional experience
• Opportunities are available to teach multiple campuses and, when qualified, additional Healthcare Sciences programs including Certified Medical Assistant
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
• Active Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT), Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT), National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT), or equivalent nationally recognized certification
• Minimum of 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience or at least 1 year of phlebotomy instructional experience
• Ability to successfully complete FBI fingerprinting/background screening
CLINICAL SKILL SET
• Venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques
• Specimen collection, labeling, handling, and processing
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Patient communication and professional interaction
• Clinical documentation and healthcare best practices
• Certification exam preparation and skills instruction
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct students across multiple campuses when available
