CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a large organization in the Fort Worth area. As the Payroll Specialist, you’ll support both day-to-day payroll operations and a major system conversion project. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands-on data validation, system testing, and troubleshooting to ensure payroll accuracy.

What You’ll Actually Do as the Payroll Specialist:

• Review and reconcile employee timecards and pay data for accuracy and compliance.
• Enter and validate payroll information in PeopleSoft and assist with UKG system testing.
• Compare live and test data to identify and document discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, retest corrections, and confirm payroll accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of testing outcomes, adjustments, and improvement opportunities.

What You’ll Need to Succeed as the Payroll Specialist:

• 3+ years of payroll experience with exposure to large-scale systems or conversions.
• Familiarity with UKG and PeopleSoft payroll platforms.
• Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when managing high-volume payroll data.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a structured, project-driven environment.

It’s a Bonus If You’ve Used:

• Telestaff or other workforce scheduling systems.
• Payroll testing or quality-assurance methodologies.
• Knowledge of government or public-sector payroll processes.
