Location: Lewisville, TX (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $75K+ BOE

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Job Costing Accountant to join a well-established construction company in Lewisville. This role will focus on setting up jobs, running reports, and partnering closely with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and financial accountability. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, financial analysis, and supporting operations with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up new jobs and project cost structures in the accounting system.
• Run financial and job cost reports to monitor project performance.
• Partner with project managers to highlight budget variances and identify potential issues.
• Track and reconcile project budgets, costs, and contract amounts.
• Support system implementation and testing of new project accounting software (CMiC).
• Provide accurate, timely reporting to support leadership decisions.
• Use Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to analyze financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in job costing.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables required).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders.
• Experience with CMiC or other project accounting systems a plus.
• Project management background is a plus
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and processes.
