CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Life & Health Insurance Operations Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a highly regarded financial services firm in Fort Worth. This role is ideal for a seasoned insurance operations leader who thrives in process-driven environments and excels in mentoring, coaching, and holding teams accountable to service standards.
This leader will oversee the day-to-day operations of a collaborative and high-performing insurance services team responsible for three major functions:
Transactional processing and policy maintenance (e.g., change of agent forms, backend policy updates)
Research and escalations (e.g., verifying policy status, resolving payment issues, identifying paid-up or terminated policies)
Condolence and claims support (e.g., coordinating outreach, verifying policies and beneficiaries, and ensuring timely delivery of claims packages)
In this role, you’ll act as the liaison between field advisors and insurance carriers, guiding the team in navigating carrier requirements while also improving internal operations. You’ll build strong rapport with advisors and internal stakeholders, lead process improvement efforts, and uphold the highest standards of service, accuracy, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and mentor a team supporting Life, Long Term Care, Disability Income, and Hybrid insurance operations
Ensure compliance, quality control, and timely execution of all insurance-related service activities
Identify and drive process improvements across transactional processing, research/escalations, and client support
Act as the operational bridge between field advisors and insurance carriers
Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching, training, and development plans
Collaborate across internal departments including Compliance, Customer Service, Financial Services, and Technology
Analyze metrics and make informed decisions that positively impact performance, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction
Manage escalated issues with professionalism and urgency while preserving advisor relationships
Support monthly closeouts and meet time-sensitive business processing deadlines
Foster a proactive and supportive team environment that prioritizes accountability and service excellence
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years leading and managing a small to mid-sized team
5–10 years of experience in Insurance Operations (Life, LTC, Disability Income, Hybrid products required)
Life & Health Group I Insurance License (required)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners
Customer service experience with a focus on escalations and conflict resolution
Analytical problem-solver with ability to identify trends and implement operational improvements
Experience working in Agile or Lean environments a plus
Demonstrated ability to perform in high-pressure settings and manage competing priorities
Compensation and Benefits:
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Hybrid; Tuesday–Thursday on-site, Monday/Friday WFH
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $84,000 – $87,000 + 7% bonus
