ROLE OVERVIEW
A school district in the Fort Worth area is seeking a qualified High School Math Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction to students in grades 9–12.

The Math Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective classroom instruction, assessing student progress, maintaining an organized and supportive learning environment, and collaborating with fellow educators and school leadership to promote student achievement.

The ideal candidate is a certified Texas educator who is passionate about mathematics, communicates concepts clearly, and can effectively support students with varying levels of academic ability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and deliver mathematics instruction aligned with applicable Texas curriculum standards and district expectations.

• Teach high school mathematics courses based on certification, student needs, and campus assignments.

• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, assessments, and other classroom resources.

• Explain mathematical concepts clearly and use multiple instructional approaches to help students build understanding and confidence.

• Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, examinations, projects, and other assessment methods.

• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on academic performance and individual learning needs.

• Provide additional instruction, intervention, or academic support to students who need assistance mastering course material.

• Maintain accurate student grades, attendance records, progress documentation, and other required educational records.

• Establish and maintain an organized classroom environment that promotes learning, participation, accountability, and respectful behavior.

• Communicate with students, parents or guardians, administrators, counselors, and other educators regarding academic progress when appropriate.

• Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, assessments, and student-support initiatives.

• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, training, and other campus or district activities.

• Follow applicable district policies, instructional procedures, and student-safety requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

• Valid Texas teaching certification authorizing mathematics instruction at the high school level, including grades 9–12.

• Appropriate Texas mathematics certification covering the assigned secondary grade levels.

• Strong knowledge of high school mathematics concepts and instructional practices.

• Ability to develop and deliver structured, engaging, and standards-aligned lessons.

• Strong classroom management and student-engagement skills.

• Ability to assess student understanding and modify instruction based on individual and classroom needs.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, students, and families.

• Strong organization, planning, and time-management skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience teaching mathematics at the high school level.

• Experience teaching courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, or other secondary mathematics subjects.

• Experience working with students representing a range of academic abilities and learning needs.

• Familiarity with Texas curriculum standards and secondary mathematics instructional requirements.

• Experience using educational technology, digital learning platforms, and student information systems.

Texas high school mathematics certification is an essential requirement for this position.
