Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Assignment: October 26, 2026 – September 30, 2027
Contract: Temporary assignment with possibility of extension

Position Overview
CornerStone Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support contract administration, procurement activities, and regulatory compliance within a government/municipal environment.
This position will assist with the preparation, routing, execution, and maintenance of contracts while working closely with vendors, Legal, Executive Leadership, Senior Management, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and comfortable managing multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
•    Support the preparation, review, routing, and execution of contract documents.
•    Assist with contract negotiations under appropriate guidance.
•    Ensure contracts are processed in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
•    Maintain accurate contract records through data entry, electronic filing, document tracking, and records management.
•    Assist with competitive procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, ITBs, and related solicitations.
•    Coordinate with vendors, Legal, Executive Leadership, Senior Management, and department staff to resolve contract-related questions.
•    Support compliance with applicable municipal, state, and federal requirements.
•    Draft clear and professional contract language, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
•    Conduct efficient online research related to contracts and procurement.
•    Track deadlines and ensure required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.

Required Qualifications
•    Associate degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
•    General understanding of government procurement policies and processes.
•    Strong technical writing skills with the ability to draft clear contract language and professional correspondence.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
•    Experience with digital/electronic signature tools.
•    Experience using ERP or financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday, SAP, or similar platforms.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, leadership, legal professionals, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Knowledge of government contract types and contracting regulations.
•    Understanding of basic finance and accounting principles.
•    Previous government, municipal, public-sector, procurement, or contract administration experience.
•    Experience supporting multi-department or multi-agency projects.
