Job Title: Mortgage Closing Manager
Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)
CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a national mortgage company in their search for a Mortgage Closing Manager to lead and oversee the closing function within a high-volume lending environment. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day closing operations, supporting team performance, and ensuring loans are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory standards. We are seeking a hands-on leader who can balance team development with direct involvement in production while driving process improvements across the department.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of closing professionals, ensuring strong performance and accountability
• Oversee pipeline flow and ensure loans are closed accurately and within expected timeframes
• Maintain a small personal pipeline to stay connected to operations and identify improvement opportunities
• Step in to support team workload during peak volume or coverage gaps
• Evaluate current workflows and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and turnaround times
• Partner cross-functionally with processing, underwriting, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
• Monitor production metrics and adjust team priorities to meet business demands
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines and internal quality standards
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in mortgage closing
• 2+ years of leadership or team management experience
• Strong knowledge of closing and funding processes
• Experience working in a high-volume, production-driven environment
• Ability to identify operational gaps and implement process improvements
• Strong communication and leadership skills
Compensation and Benefits:
• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Schedule: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday & Friday remote)
• Location: Tempe, AZ
• Salary: $65,000 base + performance-based bonus
