Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, regular business hours
Salary: $80,000 per year (BOE)
About the Role
A well-established and rapidly expanding advisory firm specializing in tax and accounting services is seeking a skilled Client Account Manager to lead a team of professionals responsible for client fulfillment, compliance, and strategic advisement. This role is ideal for someone who excels at managing teams, overseeing client accounts, and driving process improvements in a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients, serving as a key point of contact for service delivery
- Lead a team of tax and accounting professionals, including oversight of daily operations, workflow, and capacity planning
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax filings and financial reporting in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review tax and accounting deliverables for quality, accuracy, and adherence to firm standards
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and implement necessary process adjustments
- Coordinate communication between clients and internal technical staff
- Support client advisory efforts by identifying service opportunities and areas for optimization
- Oversee training and professional development within the assigned team
- Manage internal reporting, budgeting, and performance tracking for assigned accounts
- Monitor risk exposure and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
- Participate in firm-wide planning, client meetings, and strategic discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
- CPA or EA designation required
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting or tax
- Experience managing teams and overseeing multiple client accounts
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and corporate finance
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international accounting or audit
- Strong business acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Interest in continuous learning and staying current with industry changes
