Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:30 PM | Onsite

Were partnering with a well-established licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Director who enjoys balancing childcare leadership with administrative operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced office environment, enjoys supporting staff and families, and is looking to grow into a Center Director position over time.

If youre equally comfortable managing center operations, organizing the administrative side of the business, and stepping into classrooms when needed, wed love to speak with you.

What Youll Be Doing
  • Support the Director with the daily operations of a licensed childcare center
  • Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and maintaining required teacher-to-child ratios
  • Oversee enrollment, parent communication, tours, and general office administration
  • Prepare newsletters, documentation, reports, and other center communications
  • Maintain organized student, staff, and licensing records
  • Ensure compliance with Texas childcare licensing regulations and company policies
  • Support staffing, onboarding, and administrative processes
  • Build strong relationships with families, teachers, and the community
  • Step into classrooms as needed to support operations and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Help lead operational improvements while preparing for future Director responsibilities

What Were Looking ForRequired
  • 5+ years of experience working in a licensed childcare or early childhood education center
  • Experience in an Assistant Director, Administrative Coordinator, Office Manager, Enrollment Coordinator, or similar childcare leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of Texas childcare licensing and compliance
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with documentation, enrollment, filing, scheduling, newsletters, and parent communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Texas Child Care Director License, or immediately eligible to obtain one
  • Experience using childcare management software (ProCare, Brightwheel, etc.)
  • Experience supporting enrollment growth and center operations
