ROLE IMPACT
Support the successful operation and long-term performance of a multifamily housing portfolio by overseeing property operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and third-party management relationships. This role partners with internal teams and external stakeholders to protect property value, improve operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with affordable housing requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee assigned multifamily properties by monitoring operational, financial, and compliance performance while collaborating with third-party property management companies.
- Review property inspections, maintenance activities, budgets, financial reports, and operational metrics to identify risks and improve portfolio performance.
- Coordinate with accounting, legal, facilities, risk management, and property management teams to resolve operational issues, insurance claims, tenant concerns, and capital improvement needs.
- Prepare and maintain property records, ownership documentation, contracts, funding information, budgets, and regulatory reporting required for portfolio management.
- Develop strong relationships with investors, lenders, developers, and business partners while preparing reports, presentations, and compliance documentation as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in multifamily asset management, affordable housing, public housing, or a related real estate environment.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to assigned properties.

- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Adobe Acrobat
- Spreadsheet, database, and reporting applications
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of HUD, affordable housing, and multifamily housing regulations.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and property performance management skills.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving abilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, use computers and standard office equipment, attend onsite and offsite meetings, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, email, and video conference.
- Frequently walk, bend, and carry files, binders, and documents.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
