Schedule: M-F, 8 Hour Shift Between 7AM to 7PM CT
Start Date: Week of September 1, 2025
Compensation Range: $40/hr.+ BOE
Duration: Seasonal Project (Projected 4-5 Month Duration + Potential to Extend)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead operations for a regional team supporting a high-volume benefit reverification initiative. The Area Manager will oversee all day-to-day functions, including staff management, service quality, and operational performance. This role involves coordinating with senior leadership to ensure performance goals are achieved while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a geographically dispersed operations team responsible for executing seasonal benefit reverification work.
- Supervise team leads and frontline staff, including a mix of salaried and temporary employees.
- Monitor individual and team performance to ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and productivity metrics are consistently met.
- Collaborate with recruiting and supervisory staff to scale and train the team ahead of peak project cycles.
- Partner with executive leadership to improve processes, optimize workflow, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the resolution of complex service escalations related to healthcare reimbursement.
- Provide data-driven updates, reports, and insights to leadership on progress and risks.
- Participate in daily huddles, weekly leadership calls, and ongoing training sessions.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within healthcare reimbursement, patient access, specialty pharmacy, or related services.
- Strong understanding of insurance benefit investigations, appeals, billing, and patient support programs.
- Proven ability to lead hybrid or remote teams in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Experience managing seasonal staff or working within a high-volume staffing model is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare operations, practice management, or related field preferred.
