Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Lewisville, TX (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $65K BOE

Duration: Full-Time | Direct Hire!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a busy and growing team in Lewisville. This role is a direct hire opportunity and will focus on managing accounts payable processes, supporting project cost activities, and ensuring timely vendor payments. Candidates with a construction industry background are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and enter job cost invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Manage vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and issue weekly check runs.
• Support overhead and expense reporting processes.
• Assist with software transition projects by entering data and providing feedback during testing.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, especially project accounting, to ensure proper coding and documentation.
• Utilize Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting role.
• Construction industry background strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable workflows and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables required).
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal interactions.
