CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an Accounting Manager for a pharmaceutical company based in Boston, MA. The Accounting Manager will support key financial accounting and reporting activities within the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policies. This role will be heavily involved in month-end close processes, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. In addition, the Accounting Manager will support a major ERP integration initiative, assisting with system implementation activities, process transitions, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a successful migration while maintaining day-to-day accounting operations.

Pay Rate: $80–$86/hour
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days remote)
Duration: 12-month assignment with potential for extension or permanent conversion.


Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:
•    Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and company policies. 
•    Support revenue recognition, gross-to-net accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial close processes. 
•    Partner with finance teams to analyze estimates, accruals, and financial results while maintaining strong supporting documentation. 
•    Perform balance sheet reviews, account reconciliations, and analytical reporting to identify and explain significant variances. 
•    Assist with ERP system initiatives, including Oracle implementation and integration projects, while supporting ongoing accounting operations. 

Requirements for the Accounting Manager:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree, CPA, or CA designation preferred. 
•    6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within Big 4, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or similar regulated industries. 
•    Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge; IFRS experience highly preferred. 
•    Advanced proficiency with Oracle ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. 
•    Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
•    Background with Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services operating models is a plus
