Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Richardson, TX

Schedule: M-F, 8AM to 5PM CST

Salary Range: $80K-$90K BOE

Duration: Full-Time

Job Duties:

• Oversee asset and lease accounting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines through data analysis and reporting.  
• Partner with internal teams to compile and validate asset and lease-related financial data for accurate transaction recording.  
• Conduct cost analysis to drive informed financial decisions and efficiency improvements.  
• Assist with financial close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.  
• Coordinate with auditors and facilitate various audit processes, ensuring smooth documentation and compliance.  
• Lead the transition to a new lease accounting platform, managing data migration and testing.  
• Work closely with leadership to analyze financial trends and provide strategic insights.  
• Support the integration of financial processes for newly acquired entities.  
• Provide mentorship and contribute to staff training in accounting practices.  
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and incorporate industry best practices.  
• Prepare specialized financial reports and analyses as needed.  

Job Requirements:

• Expertise in lease accounting principles and financial data analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with attention to accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, adaptable mindset.
• High integrity and adherence to ethical accounting standards.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including lease accounting experience
• CPA or CMA is a major plus!
• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
