CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Accountant for a major client in the pharmaceutical industry. As the Senior Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the Intercompany Accounting group, including account analyses and reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and assisting with month-end close activities. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, strong background in accounting, particularly in intercompany billings, PII eliminations, and cost accounting experience. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience with a global pharmaceutical company and work cross-functionally with various stakeholders.

Requirements & Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, with specific experience in intercompany billings, PII eliminations, and cost accounting
• Strong analytical skills and experience in journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in both SAP and strong Excel skills required
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Month-end close activities, including the preparation of schedules for internal and external auditors.

Compensation for the Senior Accountant:

·        Employment type: 1-year assignment with the potential to extend up to 3-years

·        Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, PST hours preferred

·        Pay: $27-37/hr (+/- based on experience)
