Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
Pay: $75/hour
Schedule: Must be available to work 70% during PST hours and 30% during India hours.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in performance and automation testing to join our agile development team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You’ll leverage advanced QA tools and frameworks to create, maintain, and execute automated and performance tests across UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain performance and automation scripts for assigned products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create performance test plans, strategies, and acceptance criteria.
- Automate UI, API, and end-to-end test cases, integrating them into CI pipelines using Jenkins.
- Provide insights and guidance on performance-related techniques to enhance software quality.
- Monitor and analyze application performance, database servers, and other components.
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and strategies.
- Create detailed test plans and cases for comprehensive test coverage.
- Coordinate tasks with onshore and offshore teams to meet project goals.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other compliance standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong software development and QA experience, including web application and API testing.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing frameworks/tools (e.g., JMeter, NeoLoad, JMeter-DSL, Selenium).
- Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Groovy, Kotlin, Python).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GIT/GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Docker, and JIRA.
- Experience in test automation tools like Selenium and TestNG.
- Strong knowledge of performance monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace).
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong ability to troubleshoot performance issues and provide effective solutions.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Additional Skills:
- Excellent client-facing communication and internal collaboration skills.
- Solid organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and multitasking capability.
- Experience in the healthcare domain or HIPAA compliance is a plus.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience:
- 7+ years in software quality assurance.
- 6+ years in developing performance and automated UI/API test cases.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
