Key Accounts Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
A leading luxury retail brand is seeking a Key Accounts Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic Midwest Key Accounts. This role will focus on building strong client relationships, maximizing sales opportunities, and ensuring premium brand positioning in the market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in key account management and a strong understanding of luxury retail sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of key accounts, driving sustainable growth.
- Maximize retail potential in each store by ensuring high-quality merchandising and brand presentation.
- Develop and implement annual financial budget plans to align with company growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities for brand expansion and increased awareness across all product categories.
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure optimal in-store branding, product positioning, and sales performance.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for accounts, including in-store branding initiatives such as pop-ups and shop-in-shop concepts.
- Present new product collections to buyers, maximizing sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines across online and social media channels.
- Monitor sales performance and stock levels, ensuring accurate data reporting and forecasting.
- Prepare and present business updates and proposals to senior management and clients.
- Manage end-to-end account operations within SAP/ERP systems, including order entry and backorder communication.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage account risk and implement payment plans as needed.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years of sales experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in key account management.
- Proven ability to develop and manage strategic partnerships within the retail industry.
- Experience working within a luxury brand and maintaining premium market positioning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast sales, and present financial insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience leading client sales meetings.
- Passion for premium brands and the ability to act as a brand ambassador.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $90K - $110K (Based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Location: Chicago, IL (Frequent travel within the Midwest)
- Employment Type: Full-time, Direct-hire
