CornerStone Staffing has partnered with a government entity in their search for an Grant Accounting Director to lead a team of 7 in keeping accurate recording of grant transactions; federal, state, local , etc.   They will ensure that the balance sheet and income statements are accurate and compliant with UGMS, UGG and Single Audit Act / 2 CFR 200.  We are seeking a Grant Accounting Director with extensive experience in these areas, as they will collaborate and serve as a point of contact for external financial statement auditors, while working with the Controller to ensure strict adherence in these areas.   We are seeking a Grant Accounting Director with a technical accounting acumen.  The company is expected to change their ERP system soon and this Director will play a part in that decision making process and implementation.   This is an excellent time to join their team as they are re-engineering and defining their organization and seek persons wanting the ability to suggest changes in systems, processes, functionality of divisions to run more efficiently and help their company reach new heights in assisting the community.  
Requirements of the Grant Accounting Director:
*     Bachelor or Master in in Accounting 
*     CPA highly desired, but not required
*     Must have Grant Accounting experience 
*     Extensive background in Single Audit /2 CFR 200 required, as the company is audited frequently
*     Must have 3+ years of Management experience
*     Must have extensive experience doing balance sheet reconciliation and heavy fund accounting
*     Prior exposure working  Financial Edge and Blackbaud software programs highly desired
*     An extensive background check will be conducted
*     Company open to hybrid / remote work model 
*     Travel quarterly for training or conferences in state will be required
