Job Description

CornerStone has partnered with a local company in their search for an General Ledger Accounting Director experienced in Municipality, Healthcare or Non-Profit industries.  The desired candidate will have prior exposure leading a team of up to 8 staff accountants and junior accountants in the oversight of recordings of transactions to the general ledger for funds across all business lines, balance sheet reconciliation and heavy general and special fund accounting.  They will assist the Controller with board reports, as needed.     
Requirements for the General Ledger Accounting Director:
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field required; Master’s a plus.
  • Must have experience leading a team of up to 8 employees in heavy general ledger and fund accounting
  • 3+ years in Supervision role or more
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • ACFR experience highly desired
  • Must have Audit experience; financial statement experience
