CornerStone Professional Placement is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a reputable client in Lubbock, TX. As the Finance Manager, you will oversee financial reporting, grant administration, and compliance within a research-focused environment. If you have strong administrative and problem-solving skills in research finance, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.


Requirements & Responsibilities for the Finance Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field plus five years of relevant experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to nine years.
  • Experience: Any experience in research administration is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Federal regulations for award money, including the ability to interpret agreements and determine allowable expenditures under specific agreements and Federal guidelines.
  • Oversee financial expenditures, ensuring compliance with funding regulations and institutional policies
  • Strong skills in Ellucian Banner (ERP system), Adobe, and Cognos. Power BI experience is a plus but not required.
  • Preferred: CPA or CRA/CFRA/CPRA certifications, or candidates in progress.


Compensation for the Finance Manager:

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
  • Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience
  • Location: Lubbock, TX (On-site) Open to candidates willing to relocate.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
