CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a widely recognized hospital network to seek out a certified PB Coding Trainer for their facility in Arlington, TX.


Job Title: Professional Billing Coding Trainer

Location: Arlington, TX | 90% Remote with Equipment Provided!

Pay Range: $40-$45/hr. BOE

Schedule: M-F, 40 Hours Per Week! No weekends, on-call, or overtime required!

Duration: Temp to Hire!

Job Duties:

  • Provide ongoing education, training, and feedback to coding professionals and healthcare providers.  
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop annual training goals and objectives.  
  • Utilize insights from compliance reviews and claim assessments to identify key education topics.  
  • Deliver instruction on industry coding updates and regulatory changes.  
  • Develop and present training materials in multiple formats, including virtual sessions, in-person workshops, and written documentation.  
  • Serve as a trainer for newly implemented software, applications, and systems.  
  • Coordinate with external vendors and IT teams to develop necessary instructional materials.  
  • Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure that new systems function properly and support accurate coding and billing.  
  • Maintain records of all training activities, including topics covered and individuals trained.  
  • Perform focused audits to assess training effectiveness and improve coding accuracy.  
  • Support compliance efforts by tracking coding discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.  
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hires.  
  • Develop orientation materials for new coding professionals and facilitate initial training sessions.  
  • Provide input on performance evaluations for analysts and coding staff.  
  • Administer competency assessments to measure training effectiveness.  
  • Identify and address coding-related challenges through data analysis and targeted training.  
  • Maintain a database of audit findings and generate reports for leadership.  
  • Work with coding managers and compliance teams to refine audit and feedback processes.  
  • Collaborate with denial management teams to identify training opportunities for coding staff, clinic personnel, and providers.  
  • Assist leadership in forming and guiding committees and cross-functional teams as needed.  

Qualifications:

  • Required Certifications: CPC or CCS-P and CPMA or CEMC.
  • Experience: Advanced coding knowledge, public speaking, and instructional content development.  
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in widely used healthcare platforms, including electronic health record systems, coding software, and Microsoft Office tools.  
  • Education: Associate's Degree that's Healthcare Admin or HIM related
    • OR: High School Diploma/Equivalent + 6 Years of Relevant Experience
