Chief Philanthropic Development Officer
Job Description
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex
CornerStone has partnered with a prominent non-profit, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, in their search for a Chief of Philanthropic Development. This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned fundraising professional to make a significant impact in a mission-driven, community-focused organization.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to drive annual giving, endowment growth, and capital campaign success.
* Lead and manage the Development Department, ensuring best practices in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
* Oversee fundraising initiatives to achieve the organization’s annual goal and successfully launch the capital campaign phase.
* Cultivate and secure major gifts and corporate sponsorships, leveraging relationships with donors, foundations, and government agencies.
* Serve as a public ambassador, fostering strong relationships with key community leaders, businesses, and philanthropic organizations.
* Work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and fundraising committees to advance philanthropic initiatives.
* Train and support staff and volunteers in best practices for fundraising and donor relations.
* Provide clear metrics and reporting on fundraising progress, impact, and opportunities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree required, with 7-10 years of experience in non-profit development (preference for mission-driven, community-focused organizations).
* Proven success in fundraising leadership, including managing large-scale capital campaigns and securing major gifts.
* Strong leadership experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
* Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to engage donors, board members, and community partners.
* Knowledge of comprehensive campaign strategies, planned giving, and donor database management.
* Ability to align development efforts with the organization’s strategic vision and mission.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Employment Type: Direct Hire
* Schedule: Full-time
* Location: On-site
* Salary: Competitive, based on experience, starts at 140K
