Job Description

CornerStone has partnered with a local company in their search for a CFO; preferably with multi-entity public hospital / healthcare, government, community center or non-profit experience.   The CFO will lead 8 direct reports and over 100+ employees in 6 departments and management of a $9M budget.   We are seeking a hands-on CFO that will collaborate with General Counsel and other C-suite in addressing and solving issues and delivering a joint message and directives for staff.  The desired candidate will have an open door policy, be approachable and is receptive to an environment where all employee voices are important and intricate to the smooth running of the company.   The CFO will participate and be heavily involved in consortiums, the board and risk management initiatives.   We are seeking a CFO that will be on-top of and anticipate needs of the company, have reporting and documentation ready for meetings at all levels and be able to speak to and present key reporting and forecasting to the company.  They will lead all senior meetings and business manager meetings with the heads of all programs. 
Requirements for the CFO:
  • CPA highly desired, but not required
  • Master in finance, accounting
  • Must have 10+ years of progressive experience reaching  executive level in accounting and financials
  • Technical and administrative acumen
  • Experience and exposure to multiple systems; Financial Etch, Blackbot, Chronos UKG, Workplace, etc.   Other systems will be considered
  • Must have experience dealing with federal, state and private grants and funding from the state
  • Ability to direct audits for the company and give timely filing of reports
  • Assess and make recommendations on operational strategy and systems need to provide accurate financials
  • Oversee month-end, quarterly and year-end financial statements
  • They will have oversight of system design, enhancements and implementation to provide essential reporting and financials
  • They will managed treasury management, credit, accounting, forecasting  and payroll oversight for the company
  • Ability to travel for meetings in Houston and Austin periodically
  • Must have experience with complex funding and grants
