Accounting Specialist

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a national healthcare supply company to seek out an AP Specialist to join their team for an 8-10 week contract role. Job Title: AP Specialist

Location: 100% Onsite in Flower Mound, TX

Schedule: M-F, 8AM-5PM CST, 1 HR Lunch

Pay Range: $32/hr.-$36/hr. BOE

Duration: 8-10 Week Contract Role

Job Duties:

• Process accounts payable transactions in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices and payments
• Prepare and process vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements
• Verify and reconcile invoice discrepancies and resolve vendor payment issues
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms
• Facilitate timely payments by monitoring due dates, scheduling disbursements, and communicating with vendors
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and inquiries
• Ensure accurate entry of payment transactions, including ACH transfers and check payments
• Reconcile vendor accounts and research outstanding balances
• Assist in month-end closing by preparing AP reports and reconciliations
• Collaborate with the outside Controller on financial reporting and compliance matters

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in AP/AR, leaning heavier on AP
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience (VLOOKUP + Pivot Tables)
• QuickBooks experience - Desktop or Online are acceptable, but Online is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace experience is a plus!
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Strong data entry skills [10-key is plus]
