Registered Nurse Supervisor
Euless, TX
Currently looking for a Registered Nurse Supervisor for our client’s Intensive Care Unit in the Euless area.
Requirements of the Registered Nurse Supervisor
  • Graduate of a NLN (National League of Nursing) or 
  • CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) accredited nursing programs
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred 
  • Completion of BSN within 2 years of start date is required
  • Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Texas or Compact State.
  • At least two years as staff nurse in acute care setting
  • Current AHA BLS/CPR training certification
  • Current NRP or ACLS or NIHSS certification
  • Strong leadership background and experience is required
  • Leadership experience as a Charge RN
  • At least 3 years of RN and supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience with administrative duties (scheduling and evaluations) is preferred
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse Supervisor
  • Assist with audits, time and attendance, coachings, meetings, evaluations
  • Facilitate patient nurse assignments and provide coordination of patient care on nursing unit
  • Participate in coaching and counseling, Progressive Disciplinary action process with Nurse Manager/Director and staff
  • Assist in providing staff meetings with Nurse Manager and facilitate during meetings
  • Identify ineffective, inefficient or costly processes and take action to improve those processes
  • Participate in monitoring the budget as directed by Nurse Manager/Director
  • Assist Nurse Manager/Director with recruiting and interviewing potential staff
  • Assist Nurse Manager with creating Employee Development Plan
  • Manage bed control for unit in collaboration with Administrative Supervisor
  • Contribute to employee development plan identifying and addressing areas of needed growth
  • Recognize staff for and encourages them to seek professional development opportunities as needed including CAP and Certification
Compensation for the Registered Nurse Supervisor
  • $38+/hr (plus bonus and shift differentials)
